We aim to be the best

Welcome to Team Jorvik.  We are a small and friendly club in York, which aims to produce swimmers competitive at Yorkshire and NER level. We do this by providing the necessary facilities, help and coaching in the pool and on land. The squad has a friendly but focused atmosphere - we take the training seriously but we don't take ourselves seriously!

Please take a look around and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

  • Spring Festival Meet now full Thanks to everyone for getting their entries in early.  As of 23rd January, the meet is now full.  Lane-filler swims might be available on the day if we get some withdrawals, but will be restricted to clubs already at the event.  We are looking forward to another great gala!  We are still in need of officials, of any level (trainees welcome too).  Please contact us if you can help.

The New Year brought some new times for many of our swimmers who undertook longer distance events for the first time. Charlotte conquered the 400 IM.  Four girls braved the 800m freestyle and each was rewarded with a medal for her efforts: Emma (silver), Laura (bronze), Jess (gold) and Joan (silver). Callum and Joe C took on the 1500m freestyle achieving excellent times - Joe C bagged a new Yorkshire time and a gold medal. New Yorkshire times were also achieved by Jake (50 breaststroke), Callum (100 breaststroke), Amy (200 breaststroke) and Meredith (400 IM, 200 breaststroke, 200 backstroke).Personal bests were hard won ...
